The Nativity Fast, which lasts 40 days, beginning on November 28th, was established that we cleanse ourselves through repentance, prayer and fasting, that with a purified heart, soul and body we meet the newly born Son of God bringing unto him not gift of gold and frankincense but the desire to follow his teachings.
