On Saturday October 29th the Cathedral was given an icon of the Mother of God (Znamenie) as a gift from Bishop Mstislav of Tikvin.  Having come to Chicago to bring a copy of the miraculous Tikhvin icon to Holy Trinity Cathedral, he availed himself of the opportunity to also visit our cathedral where he had served just a year ago.  Vladika Mstislav was greeted with all due ceremony and the troparion was sung while the icon was brought into church.  The older children from the parish school likewise sang "Rejoice o Virgin Theotokos".  Vladika was then given a tour of the school and invited to a light luncheon.
