Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Our parish school began a new academic year and the number of students has once again risen – Glory be to God! Unfortunately, space continues to be a critical issue. We simply must redouble our efforts at fund-raising for completion of the new school building.

Thanks to your generosity, since Pascha the building fund has been augmented by $30,000. We express our most sincere thanks to all who have reached out in support. The total in the building fund is now $142,000 which is approximate one third of the total $450,000 needed to complete the structural elements not counting internal finishing work. In order to begin the work, we must have the total sum on hand and for this, we must count on a certain guaranteed income. The optimal way to ensure a steady stream of collections is a program of monthly pledges. This can be done with cash, check or automatic deductions attached to credit cards through the parish Paypal link.

We are furthermore pleased to announce that through a certain sponsorship, there has been an offer to double, dollar per dollar, the amount of all pledges received up to $100,000. Being able to count on a fixed number of pledges which would be doubled over the next several months, if we were to receive the full match, we would be well within the needed amount to complete construction.

We must put all efforts into this in order to give our young people the opportunity to learn in regular classrooms. In addition, the building will be used throughout the week as well for various parish functions, for diocesan administration and as a cultural center complete with library and fully functional kiosk/bookstore.   The classrooms will be used for various youth and adult activities as well.

The building committee will continue regularly update the parish in regards to fund-raising progress.
